Donut-themed boy’s birthday party
Hi everyone! All of us here at 100LC want to express how thankful we are for you, and how much anyone affected by the disasters that have swept across our country and world lately (how does one keep up?) are in our thoughts—especially on this particular day. We’re lucky to connect with an amazing creative community as well as sooo many families and couples, and we just hope that a teeny tiny bit of that helps spread a positive message of love and support.
We had this fun donut-themed party on the books that is sure to inspire those of you planning a special celebration for little ones. Harmony of Harmony Lynn Photography and Styled For Two‘s little man just turned 5, and she dreamed up just about everything a donut-lover would want in a party…
Harmony tells it, Confetti inspired invitations with matching RSVPs and pastel pink envelopes were the inspiration for this party. For the table, I used a four-person desk and re-purposed it with painted pink dining table legs. Each place setting started with an opaque glass charger topped with a pink linen napkin, and birthday hats. White depression milk glasses with paper straws and donuts + ceramic ice cream cone cups with homemade pink glazed mini donuts. A mini spoon for ice cream tasting on one side and a confetti stick on the other in place of a knife.
Had to include a shot of those confetti invitations. All confetti everything, please!
I made two cakes. One was inspired by my favorite donut, powdered sugar, and the other was this mini pink donut inspired naked and pink drip cake. I added blue cupcake toppers and candles to all of the treats to add another pastel color to the mix. These pink bow ties were custom made for the boys by my friends at Z Create Design! They are easy to clip on, magnet backs. The boys LOVED them.
Rainbows and donuts, a combo for the books, right? Best wishes to the birthday boy!
