Floral French cafe themed birthday party
Happy May Monday, mamas! We have the loveliest vintage French cafe themed birthday for ya today, and don’t you all know how much we love a floral French theme? Johanna of Johanna Leigh Weddings & Events dreamt this one up, as inspired by childhood memories and a beloved floral print (details below!), at Toronto’s Mint Room Studios. pepperandlight photographers has all the deets in the photos of this party which is lovingly referred to as “Charlie’s Cafe”:
What says vintage French cafe better than a Burberry poplin dress?
From Johanna of Johanna Leigh Events, We were working with a bright white blank canvas with a gorgeous arched alcove. This alcove was so beautiful and minimalist, I thought a kids party would look oh so elegant in front of this beautiful backdrop! The question was, how could we jazz up this space? Reflecting back on childhood memories, that gorgeous vintage floral wallpaper in my bedroom brought back soothing and happy memories. Mom always took me to the coffee shop, which triggered the thought—who needs tea, when you can have a cocoa cappuccino! Charlie’s Café was born.
OMG, how gorgeous are these donuts?
Children’s wooden Sonoma cross back chairs paired with a white farm table from Petite Occasions. A custom lace tasseled runner lined the table with beautifully recessed blooms within Paulownia Wood vases, vintage china, brushed gold stemware, and green daisy goblet, all of which to tie in the vintage concept. Dinnerware included a ruffled napkin and topped with custom miniature menu for the little ones. The menu was specifically created with soulful home cooked recipes.
We topped off the place settings with miniature chocolate bars by Succulent Chocolates, incorporating brushed gold and hints of soft pink strawberry. Miniature donut flags were created by Johanna Leigh Weddings & Events, provided as escort tags within each donut. Christina at Truffle Cake & Pastry provided dainty floral detail touches through her donuts. Balloons were designed to provide that party feel with adding brushed gold and blooms throughout. Miniature chocolate milk topped with whipped cream was served as Charlie’s hit “Cocoa-Cappucino”.
So sooo pretty, mamas! See more in our gallery below:
