French flower market inspired 1st birthday party
Who here loves all things Parisian? (Hands raised!) Endlessly inspired by Paris, mama Andrea of West Bloom Paper Co came up with this French flower market concept for her little dolly’s first birthday, and it is so, so good. From the perfect modern venue that is Chicago’s Paris 312 to the quintessential Ladurée macarons, this fête has loads of inspiration for a birthday party, bridal shower, or yep, even Valentine’s Day. Lucky for us, Jenny Anne Photography shared lots and lots of photos of the occasion!
Being a calligrapher, Andrea was all about designing French-inspired floral invites for her gal. The “ooh la la” is also a little nod to her daughter’s nickname, La La. She handpainted all the details.
All the good girls’ parties have dress-up with Rainey’s Closet, naturally.
If a cake could epitomize Paris, we think this might be it!
And aren’t these the prettiest floral cupcakes you’ve ever seen?!
Andrea says, When creating this look, I wanted to stay true to the Parisian nature and create a scene that feels both effortless and yet completely thought out. The theme seemed only fitting as it was the first place in Europe I traveled to with my husband. This particular trip to Paris changed my perspective on life and inspired me to quit my interior design job and launch my own design company, which is now West Bloom Paper Co. I was completely fascinated by all of the flower markets and floral displays throughout the city of lights that I still draw inspiration from that trip.
Paris 312 also has an online shop where you can snag big metallic balloons like these for your own celebrations. Score!
Since decadent pastries were important I knew I had to reach out to some very special artists. That includes the macarons and macaron tower by Ladurée flown in from NYC, exquisite, out of this world cake by Adam of Cake Life, and flower-topped cupcakes and cake pops by Seph’s Sweets. Let’s not forget Nimble Well’s stunning serveware and cake stands that so glamorously displayed everything in the dessert table.
Too cute! Peruse the rest of this flower market 1st birthday in our gallery below:
So thoughtful and so well done, right? And chic, too. Happy birthday, La La!
