Let’s talk about these colorful babies and their vibrant striped little getups for a sec. They’re part of Hanna Andersson’s recently launched new site, and Bright Baby Basics collection. Inspired by the original baby stripe apparel from the very first Hanna design (over thirty years ago), they reworked the line and now everything is made of 100% pure organic cotton ribknit and is oeko-tex certified. Totally Cakelet-mama approved!
The colors! They’re basic, but they pack such a punch because they’re yarn-dyed instead of only garment dyed which keeps them from fading after washing (again and again). And because they’ve been oeko-tex certified you can be sure they will be safe for bèbè. Oeko-tex is an extremely strict European ecological certification process that tests garments for over 100 harmful substances. In order for a garment to be certified, every fabric, button, thread and zipper is tested for over 100 potentially harmful substances, and the result is especially easy on children’s skin.
The collection is just made for fun mixed-up color combinations, isn’t it?
**UPDATE: Congrats to Kelly K, the winner of a $100 gift card to Hanna Andersson!**
