Fiesta de Dotty!
You guys, this party? It’s like all of our party dreams come true. Bright, fun, full of families, yummy food, a sweet birthday girl… plus it’s insanely cute and we’re pretty jealous we weren’t invited. We might have flown to Dallas to spend the afternoon in the care of Bows & Arrows. Pin the entire party, and then plan a duplicate this summer! So many gorgeous photos by Ben Q Photography, we had a hard time not showing 100 more.
Alicia and Adam like to throw parties with a bit of culture that create an experience for everyone attending. This year they decided to celebrate Dotty’s Mexican heritage (she’s named after her two Mexican great-grandmothers) with a giant fiesta, conveniently timed just before Cinco De Mayo.
They decorated their backyard with papel picado garland flags and tissue paper flowers, had a seven piece Mariachi band serenade the birthday girl, and had a cake that looked like a pinata and was filled with candy. (NICE!) Plus they served tecate, tamales, and pb+j tacos. Love every detail.
The invite is insane!
And the fringey favor boxes???
Great guest fashion even.
Plus Dotty’s little dress is adorable.
And there’s even a cute little video too!
Dang, Alicia! You know how to plan a party. Happy Birthday little Dotty! And congrats to the whole family on the impending arrival of baby #2!
** Did you know that we have loads of bright papel picado banners for sale in the Pop-Up Shop? Stock up for any upcoming fiesta this summer! They make super cute decoration in colorful nursery too. **
