A modern Brooklyn nursery and newborn shoot

categories family photography, nursery + kids room decor

Our friend Jen sent over newborn photos of her brand new baby boy and his perfect, simple nursery in their new Brooklyn apartment. His room was the only part of their apartment that was “done” when they had their photos taken since they’d moved in just two weeks before he was born. Eeeee! Just in time.

Love the simple palette of white, greys, and blues. Even the small space seems bright and open.

Elliot looks super cozy in his Aden + Anais star swaddle. They’re such an essential.

They had their eye on a different, more expensive crib. But since they’d just purchased their first home, they were thrilled to find the Babyletto Hudson crib that had the same look, was built well, and was much more affordable.

They splurged on the Graham glider from West Elm. Totally worth it for a comfy, modern rocker. And Jen’s sis knitted those three sweaters for her nephew.

The classic puzzle stool, of course!

Such enviable hair for such a little guy.

Congrats Jen and Adam! Elliot is a doll and we love his sweet room.

For those of you inspired by Elliot’s beautiful, calm space:
